The Metro Bar has 13 large HD screens showing a wide variety of sports simultaneously as well as a pool table.
Currently we show English Premier League, English Championship Division, Champions League, Europa League some SPFL and Allsvenskan football matches. For rugby fans we also show European Rugby Championship, Premiership, Pro12, SuperRugby, 6-Nations and The Rugby Championship (formerly Tri-Nations) as well as NRL and State of Origin matches.
We also cover as much Tennis, Golf, Cricket, F1, MotoGP, GP2, SBK, Boxing, MMA, UFC and race meetings as we can. For US sports fans we show live and delayed NFL, NCAA and NHL games. From Ireland we show GAA National League and All Ireland matches.
When you consider we carry a host of beers, ciders, alcopops, wines and spirits it is no wonder we are a popular venue where guests enjoy watching their favourite sports.
Parties
We organize parties for guests and staff birthdays as well as special days like St. Patrick’s Day, over the Christmas period – indeed for any occasion you wish. Whether you want a Pig on a Spit, an Irish stew or a full buffet, we can arrange that for you also. We do not have our own kitchen but work closely with several eateries in the neighbourhood to ensure a wide selection of culinary possibilities.
Music Sessions
We’ve even had a few impromptu music sessions as well and look forward to meeting the next Ronnie Drew or Luke Kelly!
